This quirky and rustic Bedfordshire wedding venue is an unexpected little gem that is both grand and modest at the same time. The whole place has a slightly French feel to it. Dramatic full length windows, a terrace for guests to sip pre-dinner drinks, and all the rooms painted pastels to match most wedding colour schemes.
Rustic Wedding Venue in Bedfordshire – Moggerhanger Park
I spent the morning at Moggerhanger with Alex in their beautiful bridal suite. High ceilings, ornate French furniture, and the most stunning views. Jon & Alex were then married at St Mary’s Church, Henlow. Whilst Jon had been private messaging me ahead of the day, Alex clearly had no idea what his chosen method of wedding transport would be from the church back to their reception. Alex was overwhelmed as Jon unveiled the helicopter sitting out back which would take them to one of the most memorable and fun-packed wedding celebrations at the stunning, Grade I Listed Moggerhanger Park. Sparklers, Saxophones, Giant Helium Balloons and best of all…. as the sun began to set…. the rare sight of the two Lancasters putting on what could have been a private air show directly overhead.
Summer Wedding Garden Party at Moggerhanger Park
Jon and Alex wanted to have a garden party theme for their day, with guests having lots to see and do during the wedding drinks reception on the expansive lawns at this beautiful wedding venue. Lawn games and space hoppers (for the children mind 😉
Jon and Alex’s evening wedding reception was every bit as energetic at their day. Crazy bonkers dancing with their wedding funk band in Moggerhanger’s own dance room. And we finished the night with guests writing sparkler words. All in all, one of the most memorable wedding days I’ve shot as a Bedfordshire wedding photographer. Jon and Alex became friends that day, and we have kept in touch lots in the four years since. Love them. xx
